~ The Importance Of The Mare In Breeding ~

"Absolut's dam is Traveler's Sugar Doll and was sired by the immortal Missouri Traveler E. and the good show mare WC Yankee's Sugar Doll. She is the type of mare that has enough talent that you can breed her to several different studs and she will give you a good baby. That is because she is bred to naturally gait and has a disposition that will spoil you. Even though she has produced not only multi titled Absolut Sunrise but WC Traveler's Yellow Cat and WC Traveler's Southern Rose, I am most proud of the fact that her filly, Sunrise's Travelin Lady, was the filly that Ruth Moore owned and had enough faith in to start riding again after her reaction to a flu shot. Even though Ruth was told she would never ride a horse again, thru her hard work and dedication she put her faith in a young filly by this wonderful mare. Sugar Doll has always put babies on the ground that want to please their owners and have such wonderful dispositions.

It was an easy decision to breed her to Southern Sunrise (the top ranked leading sire of World Champion Foxtrotters) as he has always been such a great producer of talent and looks. Sugar Doll already had the rhythm & reach and Sunrise just added his talent and looks to create such a wonderful horse like Absolut Sunrise.
